Kunkolo – 'The Little Court'

Auberge Kunkolo is located a short walk from Tiébélé’s main attraction, the Cour Royale, at the foot of beautiful rolling hills. We offer double beds in eight traditional style huts. Rooms include a mosquito net and fan. However, many of our guests enjoy sleeping under the stars on the rooftop terrace of their hut, where cool breezes keep the mosquitoes away.

Traditional Style Huts

Our rooms were carefully constructed in the Kassena tradition, using locally available materials. Once built, local women’s groups used graphite, limestone, and laterite, also found locally, to paint the homes, just as is found in the Cour Royale. We are sure that a stay at the Auberge Kunkolo will provide you with a memorable and unique African experience.

Rooftop Sleeping

It’s no surprise, Africa can be HOT! While we offer fans in each or our eight rooms, many of our guests have enjoyed sleeping under the star cluttered night sky on our rooftop terraces. Crickets chirping and distant djembe drumming provide a soothing African soundtrack as a cool, mosquito-free breeze carries you to sleep.

Rates & Reservations

We welcome your reservations for your stay at Auberge Kunkolo. Groups are advised to make reservations in advance especially during the peak season (Jul-Jan). All rooms are double occupancy and cost 5,000 Fcfa. Additional mattressses are available for 1000 Fcfa. Camping is available (you must provide your own tent) at 1,500 Fcfa, our showers and toilets are available to campers.
